Eric's Wedding

Two weeks ago our friends Eric and Melodie got married in Logan, UT. Eric has known Rob forever and he is one of our favorite friends! His wife Melodie is great, she has so much energy; and she is interested in going to PA school too, so that is really exciting. We were able to make it to their wedding dinner and reception. Melodie's middle name is Star, so there were lots of star details involved in her wedding, which made it really fun. That had their reception on the Utah State University campus, at the alumni center.
It was a beautiful day. We drove from Pocatello and the drive was nice, but we didn't expect it to be quite so long. We thought it would only take an hour to get there, but it took almost two! The Cache Valley is amazing though, so it was well worth it.
Oh, and they had and upscale version of a make-your-own brownie sundae bar. It was sooo yummy! The brownies were the kind with the fudgey frosting too, and oh my goodness.. they tasted like heaven! You could put all sorts of treats on top, which made it even more delicious.

This is just a little picture of the Cache Valley, yet this picture doesn't do it justice.
We ate at The Bluebird, a Logan landmark. They have affordable delicious food, in a historic, fun atmosphere. They even have a historic soda fountain.
Oh, and did I mention that they sell handmade chocolates? We made sure to sample one of their dark chocolate creations and MAN, they are delectable little treats!

I took this picture for my friend Erica, I hoped it would bring back good memories for her. I know how much she loves being an Aggie! I don't blame her one bit, that campus is beautiful!

The night before the reception we went to Eric and Melodie's wedding dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake. The dinner was great (especially the dessert, dessert crepes, mmmmmm), and the program was really nice.
Robbie G was there and he and Rob posed for a picture. We love that guy! Well, there was that one time when they lived together and Rob G. used to hide all of our BYU stuff and crowd it out with his U paraphernalia (honestly, who has a UofUmailbox inside their house?!). Luckily, we could see past that little experience and forgive him for being a Ute.

And needless to say, we had a terrific time, and we were so happy that we got to be a part of Eric and Melodie's wedding celebration.
