An Edmonds Kind of Summer

It is raining today, which is actually quite a change from all the sun we've been having. So, finally I am finding the time to try and start getting caught up with what we've been up to. One of my favorite things about where we are living is the festivals and fun that are abundant in the summertime. We attended all three of the major Edmonds festivals this year, and here is a sneak peak:

The Edmonds Arts Festival

I had to take a picture of the lemonade/dog watching stand that these kids put up just across the street from the festival, pretty ingenious!

The Edmonds Waterfront Festival:

Steamed pork buns are pretty much one of our very favorite foods! Their beautiful, inexpensive, and delicious! What could be better?

Loved all the wooden boats!

And we got to see the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain up close. They used the Lady Washington in Pirates of the Caribbean.

And finally...

The Taste of Edmonds:

In Seattle we love any kind of boat, but during the summer we especially love our hydroplanes!

Nutella Crepes were one out of about a zillion food choices.

These berries look delicious. The sign in the background made me laugh, because Zuzu has a very different definition for the word "Dingleberry".

Probably planned, but thought it was funny that this was across the aisle from this...

Just sayin', it made me laugh!

My Aunts and I did rock out to Asia, even though I really had no clue who these guys were. But I am glad the guy standing in line in front of us, who decided to pay for our admission, was a fan.

And a beautiful sunset to top it all off.

...Just some of the reasons we enjoy summer in the great NW!

Always Amusing at the Market

All decorated for the 4th

Balloon Man with an AMAZING hat!

This guy is wishing for something good, I can just tell by the way he is staring off into the distance.

Gotta love the market, always something interesting to see and do! Add a steamed pork hum bow from Mee Sum Pastry, a dried fruit log and Inca Kola from the latin market, and you've got the perfect day!
