Just Beachcombin'

We were out and about last Friday and we walked down to Brackett's Landing and went out into the tidepools. The tide was out and so there were lots of fun things to look at. I even found lunch! Rob and I LOVE CRAB! It was a gorgeous day!

MRSA, Oh Boy!

This is my forearm, a very fuzzy picture of my forearm. This is actually a tame picture compared to what it looks like now. I wouldn't want to gross you all out with the picture of it today. Last Thursday I got a bump on my arm, and it turned into this over the weekend. I went to the doctor monday and got antibiotics, both oral and ointment. Then today I got a call that it isn't just a typical staph infection, but it is MRSA - Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. So, there are only a few antibiotic choices, luckily the bacteria is sensitive to the one I am on.

What this means is that I am not able to go to my rotation, because in a healthcare setting it isn't a great idea to be walking around with MRSA. So, I have been going crazy! Plus the weather is perfect here. But my antibiotic, beside making me nauseated, makes me photosensitive so I can't be outside for that long. So, I thought I would blog!

"B" is for Boba

Another reason Rob and I love being in Seattle again is the Boba! We LOVE bubble teas! It is really just a smoothie made of delicious combinations of fruit with tapioca pearls in it that you slurp up through an insanely large straw! You kindof slurp then chew. My pal Eliza recommended I try these, because she knew I would love it, and she was right! In Seattle you can find these everywhere. It is much more difficult to find in Utah, I only knew of two or three places. My personal favorite is Avocado & Lychee. I got Rob hooked too. I have worked diligently to get some of you others hooked as well (ie Matt and Lisa), but it looks like it may take some time.

Because Every Bird Should Get to Fly

Where is Summer Exactly?

Rob and I are wondering... Where exactly is summer? When we drove into town it was 93 degrees outside! We have had some sunny days since, but not very many. Normally we get plenty of sun in Seattle in the summer. But sure enough, the summer we decide to spend in Seattle happens the be the coldest and rainiest since 1917! Unreal!

Quite A Find

The four of us were just looking in the cute Portland shops, when Lisa and I discovered these little beauts. What a clever Idea! They roll up to fit in your purse, and they are cute! Lisa and I both bought one. Rob and I have been using ours, and we love it! We are big fans of cloth grocery bags. However, sometimes we make an unexpected trip to the store. Well, now I keep my Envirosac in my purse and we always have it when we need it. This certainly helps us to not be quite so wasteful. Just one simple thing.

Our Adventures With the Mc's

Last weekend we decided to get out of town and visit the McCaslines in Portland. I have to say, I used to give Matt a hard time about being from Portland, but I take it all back now. Rob and I LOVE visiting P-town and seeing all the sites. We haven't seen Matt and Lisa forever so we were very excited for the weekend!

We spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying each other's company.

Jack sure looks like he is enjoying Rob's company in this picture!

On Saturday we visited the Urban Grind for some herbal tea before going site seeing. Rob and I are becoming BIG fans of the herbal tea!

Here is a family photo of the Mc's. We had the best weekend! We love when we get to visit! Thanks for having us Matt, Lisa, and Jack!
